City of Basehor
Basehor, Kansas is located in the southwest portion of Leavenworth
County. While still a small city, Basehor's population, recorded
as 2138, increased 30% over the last 10 years.
Basehor (pronounced Base-or; the "h" is silent) is located
in southern Leavenworth county, west of Kansas City with easy access
to the metropolitan area via I-70 and I-435.
Named after the two Basehor brothers who started the town in 1898
from land given to the Delaware Indian's, Basehor developed into
a thriving community in just a few years thanks to its vital railroad.
